Airline reveals its winter programme from Newcastle - and there are two new destinations

New flights from the North-east to Rome and Turkey feature in an airline's winter schedule - but you'll have to wait until February half-term.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has announced its winter flights and holidays programme for next year from Newcastle Airport, with over 250,000 seats on sale to 18 winter sun, city and ski destinations for winter 18/19.

The leisure airline and package holiday specialist is adding new winter routes by flying weekly to Antalya in Turkey and twice weekly to the Italian capital, Rome.

However both services won't start flying until February half-term.

The airline is also expanding its Krakow programme, with more seats and twice weekly services to the Polish city.

There will also be more services and holidays to Cyprus (Paphos).

The Newcastle announcement is part of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays' biggest ever winter flights and holidays programme, with over 3.5m seats going on sale today.
